Two more from the DockDogs at the Kingston Sheepdog Trials session.
Photos are uploading to the online album as I type this and should be all there by this evening (Thursday)
Meanwhile – enjoy!
Saturday and Sunday saw me at the 1000 Islands Dock Dogs club Dock Diving session at the Kingston Sheep Dog Trials.
Some fabulous jumpers and some reluctant jumpers, but everyone had a great time!
I’ll be posting all the photos online in a few days. Meanwhile, here’s a sample of the action.

Thee AAC Nationals at the Equestrian Park in Nepean have come and gone. Three days of competition (four if you count the prequalifers) starting with two steeplechase runs on Friday. Tyra’s 2 runs were fast enough to get her into the steeplechase finals on Sunday afternoon. This is her second stepplechase final at a Nationals event. She also made it into the fnals last year in the very competitive 26″ regular class.. This year she’s running as a 22″ special dog. I’m very pleased with her overall 5th place finish with 3 individual first placements in both standards and the second jumpers.
One of the stars of the show was 12 year old Pippin. He and Leslie won first place in their class to become the 10″ Veterans National Champions! Congratulations to Leslie and Pippin!

Annoying. Very annoying.
So, thought it was about time I had a new camera 🙂
The new K7 from Pentax came out and I couldn’t resist. It’s small and light and looks like the perfect carry-around camera when I don’t want to lug the 1Dmk3 around. It also does video and although that’s not really a feature I intend using, I did give it a try yesterday.
Meanwhile, here’s one of the first photos out of the camera.
This past weekend saw us at Dreamfields for the Ottawa Valley Golden Retriever Club / Ottawa Valley Poodle Club CKC Agility trial (affectionately known as the “Goldenpoo trial”).
Tyra came home with her AGMXJ title (Agility Master Excellent Jumpers with Weaves). Ivan lost his brain, but mercifully found it in time for the last run where he earned his first Intermediate Standard Q.
Big congrats to Gill Shields and Myda who earned her AGMCh at the trial!
