Herding photos have finally been added to the album! That aren’t sorted by name like the win shots are. If I get time, I’ll go back and do that. I thought it more important that the shots were online (at long last)

A week ago, I had a great photo session with an amazing dog named Maggie. She is quite the athlete!
The beginning of May saw us heading down to Rhode Island for the American Belgian Tervuren Club Specialty. Lots to do – agility, obedience, rally and conformation. There was also herding, but we arrived too late for that because of the HiT of HiTs.
Ivan got his first novice JWW leg and Tyra got another EX JWW leg. They also go a leg apiece in Rally. Tyra took first place, but only because the others in her class both NQd 🙂
Marco showed well, taking 2nd place in 9-12month class at the specialty and then First place and RWD in the regional specialty on the Sunday.

Saturday 9th May saw the annual HiT of HiTs organized by the Bytown Dog Obedience Club at the Fred Barrett arena.
As always, competition was fierce and last year’s winner, Ikena Hilmayer made it into the final heeling routine with not only her Terv, Passion but also with her schipperke Levi. The dog representing the Utility class was Irene Mullan’s Golden Retriever, Sera.
Iken and Passion won the final heeling routine with the lowest TPL score to take the trophy for the third time in a row.

My “little” boy is 2 years old today
Ivan earned two titles at Dreamfields last night after runng 12 runs for 12 Qs! Here he is with his Starters Standard title and Starters Games title ribbons (ADC and SGDC)
We said goodbye to Boris yesterday. His body had been failing gradually over the past couple of months. Here’s a scan of a photo taken back in the summer of 2001 when we first came to Canada.
Here’s Marco at 8 months old. It looks like he’s finally growing into those ears!
Congratulations to Fenway and Mischief on achieving their Starters Title at Dreamfields on 3rd April! Ivan also got in on the action picking up 2 Qs in both his runs of Jumpers & Gamblers.
